Rare Vintage Porcelain Toshikane Art Buttons 6 “Noh” Play Masks Complete Japan.

From the 1970s. Hand-painted and made in Tokyo, Japan. Comes with all original pieces - wooden box (lid and base with maker’s sticker), insert with masks’ names, maker’s tag, all 6 buttons, cloth and cardboard insert that the buttons are sewn to. The cardboard is still glued to the base of the box. The cloth backing that the buttons are sewn to does have discoloration spots from age. The wooden box has “1974” written in pen on the back and the sticker is a bit “dinged” on one edge. The buttons, themselves, are vibrantly colored, glossy, and have no cracks or chips - EXCELLENT condition. Buttons were photographed in different lights to attempt to capture their detail and beauty.
