This beautiful Llrado Style Porcelain Dutch girl dressed in cultural attire is wearing a lovely blue dress with a two-tone apron. Over her shoulders, is a flower-adorned kraplap, and her lace bonnet, known as a \"hul\", rests upon her head. She holds in her hands a beautiful white duck, depicting the farm girl image from times gone by.
Cultural depicting figurines aren\'t being produced as much as they were when I was a child. I can remember visiting shops in the 1970s (giving away my age), dolls and figurines representing cultures from all around the world filled the shelves. That just isn\'t so today. Back in the day, I found these to be educational (we didn\'t have internet back then and most of us did not have encyclopedias at home), but those dolls, figurines, and music box figurines taught us about the lives of those in various countries and regions. But, I digress. . .
This pretty figurine is a high gloss, glazed porcelain ceramic and measures approximately 8 inches tall.
