Rare vintage Girl Scouts axe/hatchet made by Kelly Quality, estimated from roughly the 1930s–1940s era. This is a scarce Girl Scouts-marked camp axe with the original Girl Scouts trefoil embossing still clearly visible on the head. The opposite side is marked “Kelly Quality.” These are much harder to find than the more common Boy Scouts axes and make a great collector piece for vintage tool, scouting, camping, and axe collectors. The axe has been carefully cleaned and restored with preservation in mind. The goal was not to make it look new, but to stabilize it, remove active rust, preserve the original markings, and keep the aged character of the tool intact.Condition notes:
Original Girl Scouts embossing is strong and readable.
Kelly Quality stamp is visible.
Head was cleaned and preserved with a dark aged patina.
Poll shows old mushrooming/use wear from its working life.
Sharp burrs on the poll were carefully dressed for safety.
Edge has been cleaned up and sharpened.
Handle has been cleaned, oiled, and preserved.
This is a vintage restored collector axe, not a brand-new tool. Please review all photos closely. This is an old used axe with age, patina, pitting, marks, and wear consistent with decades of use and storage.Great display piece, collector item, or usable vintage camp hatchet for someone who appreciates historic tools.
