Item Description:
Lot of 3 Vintage Practical Kabbalah Metal Amulets – Angelic Script & Magic Squares
Overview:Offered for sale is a fascinating and rare collection of 3 vintage Kabbalistic metal amulets (Talismans), dating to the 20th century. While crafted in the 1900s, these artifacts strictly preserve and follow the ancient esoteric formulas of "Practical Kabbalah" (Kabbalah Ma'asit). Each tablet is meticulously engraved on a different metal corresponding to distinct planetary and spiritual forces, making this a highly unique and comprehensive collection for scholars and collectors of Jewish mysticism, Judaica, and the occult.Dimensions (For Each Tablet):Height: Approx. 18 cm (7.1 inches)Width: Approx. 18 cm (7.1 inches)The Lot Includes 3 Distinct Tablets:1. The Tin / Light Metal Tablet:
Weight: Approx. 60 grams
Details: Engraved with dense lines of mystical text, this tablet utilizes a lighter metal (such as tin or a light alloy). In Kabbalistic tradition, tin is astrologically associated with Jupiter, making amulets of this type traditionally used for drawing success, abundance, and prosperity.2. The Lead / Pewter Tablet (Heavy & Soft):
Weight: Approx. 222 grams
Details: Made of a heavy, softer metal like lead or pewter, which corresponds to the planet Saturn. In Practical Kabbalah, lead amulets were traditionally crafted for powerful defensive magic—providing protection, banishing negative energies, or removing the "Evil Eye". This piece notably features Magic Squares in the corners—mathematical grids used by mystics to harmonically represent the numerical values of divine names.3. The Copper Tablet (Double-Sided):
Weight: Approx. 137 grams
Details: Engraved on both sides on copper, a metal associated with Venus (representing grace, healing, love, and divine favor). This remarkable tablet features large Angelic Sigils in its corners, historically used by Kabbalists to invoke angelic protection and bind spiritual forces.
Close-Up Details & Geometry:Upon closer inspection of the copper tablet, the large magical circles reveal intricate and highly specific Kabbalistic sigils. You can clearly identify the "Seal of Solomon" (Hexagram/Star of David) delicately engraved just outside the main circles, serving as a powerful warding symbol. The inner geometry includes nested triangles, an hourglass formation representing the connection between the upper and lower worlds, and representations of spiritual gates or thrones.
The Mystical Script ("Ketav Malachim"):The text engraved across all three tablets is not standard Hebrew. It is a secret, esoteric cipher known as "Angelic Script" (Ketav Malachim) or "Eye Script". Characterized by lines ending in small circles or rings, this cipher was used by Kabbalists for centuries to encode holy names, angelic oaths, and magical formulas, keeping the spiritual power hidden from the uninitiated. The precision of this script on these tablets is exceptionally well-preserved and deeply engraved.
Condition:All three amulets are in excellent vintage condition. They display a beautiful, natural aging, oxidation, and authentic patina across the different metals, validating their 20th-century origins. The intricate engravings remain clear and highly visible on all plates. Please note: Each tablet is currently encased in a protective clear lamination.
