Vintage Heavy Enameled Oval Goose Roaster with Domed Lid – No. 32 Style – Possibly WMF
Offered here is a substantial vintage oval enameled roasting pan with a matching deep domed lid.
This is an exceptionally heavy, well-built piece weighing approximately 7.13 lb / 3.234 kg, with sturdy metal construction and a durable enameled surface.
Based on its overall form, approximately 32 cm interior length, centered welded wire handles, rolled rim, deep domed lid, and general construction, the roaster closely resembles vintage WMF No. 32 oval roasters documented in the secondary market.
However, no WMF logo, maker’s mark, factory stamp, or country-of-origin marking could be found on either the roaster or lid. The manufacturer therefore cannot be confirmed, and the WMF reference is provided only as a stylistic and comparative attribution.
Approximate Measurements:
• Interior length: approx. 32 cm / 12.6 in
• Width: approx. 22–23 cm / 8.7–9 in
• Weight with lid: approx. 7.13 lb / 3.234 kg
The size and proportions make it suitable for use as a large oval roasting vessel, goose roaster, or decorative vintage cookware piece.
Construction & Features:
• Heavy metal construction
• Enameled interior / surface
• Deep oval roasting form
• Matching domed lid
• Welded wire-style handles
• Rolled rim
• Approx. No. 32 size
• Unmarked manufacturer
Condition:
Pre-owned vintage condition with honest signs of age and previous use.
The roaster and lid show typical surface scratches, utensil marks, light enamel wear, staining, discoloration, and other age-related cosmetic wear.
No major cracks or structural breaks were observed during visual inspection.
Some minor irregularities in the construction and enamel finish are present and are consistent with older utilitarian cookware.
No maker’s mark or country mark was found despite careful inspection.
Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description and show the actual enamel wear, surface condition, construction, and details of the piece.
Identification Note:
The form and construction are strongly reminiscent of vintage WMF No. 32 oval roasters, but this piece should not be considered a confirmed WMF example unless additional identifying evidence is discovered.
An impressive, unusually heavy vintage enameled roaster with classic farmhouse appeal, suitable for collectors of vintage cookware, European-style kitchenware, and large traditional roasting vessels.
