While the missing title page means we cannot be 100% certain of the exact printing year, the book features a definitive handwritten ink inscription on the front flyleaf securely dating the volume to May 1943. This historic provenance guarantees the volume is an original pre-WWII or early wartime impression, easily predating the more common 1960 post-war reprints.
