Up for sale is a highly collectible and genuine 1986 Florida license plate featuring a rare factory printing error.
While the "FLORIDA" and "VOLUSIA" text are stamped correctly, the center graphic map outline of the state is completely inverted (printed upside down), with the panhandle pointing downward to the right and the peninsula pointing up.
Unlike unissued sample plates, this is a true, road-used county registration tag that successfully slipped past DMV quality control in the 1980s.
Condition Details:
- The green lettering and orange/yellow state map graphic remain vibrant and highly legible.
- Features the original "86" registration sticker in the top right corner.
- Shows typical authentic vintage wear including minor edge scuffs and mounting hole marks from actual vehicle use (please see high-resolution photos for exact cosmetic condition).
- Plate is flat, completely intact, and has not been cleaned or altered.
