Rare Vintage 10" Henry Disston & Sons Backsaw Hand Saw Made for J.B. Hunter & CoUp for sale is a Disston backsaw with a 10" blade plate. The saw is marked Disston on the spine and medallion, and the name J.B. Hunter & Co. is etched on the blade plate. The saw was made by Disston for J.B. Hunter Co. Based on the medallion markings, size, and shape, the saw likely dates from 1947-1955. Has a 13/16" medallion.
On the medallion side of the handle, near the top where the handle meets the spine, there is a small imperfection with a piece chipped off. The saw needs a proper sharpening and is worth restoring. The etching on the blade is not the best, but it is readable and may be salvageable.
