Rare & Unusual Small Mahogany Fusee Antique Bracket Clock
Very unusual and interesting Bracket clock that is a rare small size. This Bracket clock was made by top quality maker \'W .Johnson, The Strand, London\' working from 1825 to 51 he made Diminative bracket clocks . The case is full of quality with wonderfully carved snakes, Scrolls and leaves! It does have some minor repairs which are hard to see, however the patina is wonderful. The bezel is engine turned gilt bronze (Ormolu) and the original gilt.
The case measures 9.25in tall x 7in wide x 3.5in deep. The dial is silvered with great hands and is signed. The hands are great but one is damaged.
The clock\'s 8 day movement is a fusee and comes with a pendulum which may not be the original. The movement is sold as not working but is ticking well . With a good clean and service it should work . The spring is good and fully wound
Please view the photos as they are part of the overall description. It is sold as seen not working for parts/restoration only with no guarantee or returns. A fine project.
