Unused appearance. Came in the tissue, in the Queen box. No carry wear on the bone or the bolsters. The Queen Steel #61 etch on the master blade is weak and blurry. It is there, and it is readable, but it is not a sharp stamp. The Various Bone 1 of 40 etch and the 07/40 on the bolster are clearer. Please judge the pictures.

Brand History

Queen Cutlery was the Titusville, Pennsylvania shop. The sleeve on this box says hand crafted since 1922, and the address is 507 Chestnut Street. The company grew out of the old Schatt & Morgan line in Titusville and kept making traditional slip joints there until it closed in 2018. Tang stamp on this knife is Queen Cut. Co., Titusville, PA. That is the factory knife, not a later name used somewhere else.

Pattern 61 in the Queen books is the medium stockman. This box is labeled Queen Steel #61 and Q61JB, and the knife is numbered 07 of 40 in various bone. One blade is etched Various Bone 1 of 40. JB on the code is the handle. The run is forty knives. This is number 7.
