Rare Pair of Paul Milet MP Sèvres Pink Porcelain & Ormolu Cherub Vases For Sale

An exceptional, matched pair of French art porcelain baluster vases by the celebrated ceramicist Paul Jean Milet (1870–1950) for Milet Père et Fils in Sèvres, France. Dating precisely to the 1911–1930 period, this pair showcases an incredibly rare, textured soft pink monochrome glaze—a striking and highly sought-after alternative to Milet’s more common cobalt or oxblood flambé finishes.Each vase is beautifully mounted with finely chiseled, high-quality Louis XVI Revival style gilt-bronze (ormolu) elements. The central relief features a flying cherub (putto) holding a garland, beautifully framed within a ribbon-tied laurel wreath. The vases rest securely on beaded circular ormolu plinth bases and are finished with matching chased gilt rims.Both vases bear the authentic, stamped green circular mark under the base reading "MP Sèvres" (with the reversed "MP" initials legally registered by Paul Milet to distinguish his workshop from the state-owned Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres).
