Rare and incredibly striking 1930’s Art Deco glass vase designed by Josef Inwald (Barolac), from Czechoslovakia.
This impressive example features a beautifully molded opalescent glass body with dramatic elephant-head mask handles, a highly desirable and collectible Barolac design motif.
The glass displays a soft milky-white opalescence with subtle blue tones that shift beautifully in changing light. Standing an impressive 10 inches tall, this is one of the larger and more decorative Barolac forms, equally suitable as a vase, centerpiece, cachepot, or champagne cooler.

Condition: Excellent pre owned, used condition. No chips, cracks, repairs, or significant wear observed. Some black inclusions in glass on the rim as shown, made during the making which is not uncommon for glass.The glass is clean and displays beautifully with some minor scratches typical of its age and use. A wonderful example of Czech Art Deco glass and an increasingly difficult form to find, particularly in this larger size and exceptional condition.
