This is a rare find beautiful antique French copper oval gratin pan by Félix Frères of Toulouse, France. The elegant oval shape is complemented by two sculptural solid-brass loop handles, each securely attached with three copper rivets.The interior has a highly reflective silver-plated lining, making this an especially unusual example of antique French copper cookware. The bottom bears the partially visible maker’s stamp: “FÉLIX FRÈRES – TOULOUSE.”Félix Frères was a respected French silversmith and manufacturer of silver-plated tableware in the early 20th century.. Copper cookware carrying the firm’s mark is seldom encountered, particularly in this attractive oval gratin form.CONDITION:This antique condition has age-appropriate scratches, polishing marks and minor surface wear. The silver-lined interior remains bright and highly reflective but has several small dark spots (see photos) that may represent localized wear or oxidation.
