Offering an EXTREMELY RARE & FASCINATING 1947 vintage BECKLEY'S ICE CREAM Glo-Dial Advertising Wall Clock with a glass-front illuminated neon dial.The illumination is a beautiful light green glow. Has a heavy pressed-steel case and a chrome-plated steel front ring. The glass dial is virtually perfect. The clock's 1947 manufacture date is associated with the opening of Beckley's Ice Cream in California in 1947. Made by GLO-DIAL CLOCK CO. Los Angeles, U.S.A. as per the maker's plaque. Also has a vintage decal from Underwriters' Laboratories that reads "INSPECTED ELECTRIC SIGN form 5".
This classic display piece has an industrial aluminum housing and retro styling that would look great in your garage, game room, bar, restaurant, vintage advertising collection...or you name it!
Measures 22 7/8" in overall diameter with a 19" diameter dial front and is 5 1/2" deep. Weighs about 25 lbs. (hence the high shipping rate).
CONDITION: In very good overall condition. Keeps good time in beautiful style! Steel case and chrome ring have a nicely aged patina. Interior lamp is always on when the clock is running...no shut-off switch (see photos).
