Rare August Jack Khatsahlano wood Carving Spoon. Northwest Coast Inuit. For Sale

August Jack Khatsahlano ( 1877-1971 )was an indigenous Aboriginal Chief of the Squamish people.The totem pole wooden ladle was hand-made by August Jack Khatsahlano.There is another wooden spoon like this one listed at the Petley Jones gallery in Vancouver, BC. On the site Lot-Art you can view another one of his spoons.The condition does show visible signs of being used, I believe the bottom of the spoon may have broken off. The original paint looks good.I was verbally given the value of this spoon.This item was part of a family member collection.
