***I travel often, I have a 5 business day shipping handling time between purchase and shipping. Please keep in mind when purchasing.Ihave other shops out of town so I am on the road quite a bit.

From a fantastic gated Bel Air CA estate we have this wonderful and Rare blowgun-style cane. It took a bit of research for me to realize what it was. They had several canes, I bought 4 and they all appear to be gadget canes. Clever. Not sure of age. I would put it safely at 1880-1960.

The bamboo shaft with a twist, becomes two parts to accommodate the cartridge, with what I think is the barrel that is inserted inside.

There is a floating striker, and the top of the pommel unscrews to reveal a blowhole through which to blow.

The ferrule slides out and holds the hook in place, allowing the cartridge to be removed.

In the section containing the firing pin, there is a through-hole into which a wooden object (a match or similar) can be inserted to prevent the firing pin from accidentally striking the cartridge. Measures about 34 3/4" tall.

Minor hairline to one part of bamboo as seen, otherwise in excellent antique vintage pre owned used condition minor oxidation to metal and brass minor dent to cane knob. Please look at my photos as they are part of the description and ask questions.

Most items we offer have age and wear, due to age and may include breaks, repairs, repainting, or restoration, we try to list any flaws as well as we can, but please refer to the photos as they are part of the description.
