Rare Antique German Stein - Nudes & Krampus w/ Eagle Thumblift For Sale

Up for sale is a rare antique German beer stein with a cobalt blue salt glaze. The decorated pewter lid has an eagle thumb lift. The handle has a raised leaf design. There are three figures on the stein - a Krampus like figure dancing with a beer stein in one hand and a club in the other. He wears a hood with horns attached. The other two figures are nude women - one like Venus standing on a large seashell om the sea with a rising (or setting) sun in the background. The other nude is more like a Lorelei figure sitting on a rock in the waves. The outside of the stein is textured with a fine cloth like weave. There are blue stripes and near the bottom a decorated stripe with raised dot stripes above and below. The photos should answer most questions. Unmarked but probably dates to the late 1800s. In very good condition with a small chip on the underside and a small mark on the edge of the lid. A very unusual old stein with unusual decorations.
