Antique Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Lamp Hand Painted Wood Base CHINABeautiful hand-painted Chinese porcelain lamp with colorful famille-rose floral decoration in pink, purple, green and iron-red enamels on a white porcelain ground. The unusual square bottle-form body rests on an intricately pierced carved hardwood stand.The underside of the porcelain retains a partial red \"CHINA” country-of-origin mark. The center of the mark was obscured/removed when the porcelain was drilled for the lamp wiring. The bottom also retains an old paper inventory label beginning “No. 4236…”. The carved wooden base is also marked CHINA.The lamp retains an older Bryant socket and vintage wiring. Based on the decoration, construction, markings and fittings, this appears to be an early-to-mid 20th-century Chinese export lamp. Exact date and maker are unknown.Porcelain presents very well with vivid hand-painted decoration. Please examine all photographs carefully for condition. Normal age-related wear, discoloration and wear to the wooden base and metal fittings are present.Approximately 15 inches tall to the top of the socket** and about 4–4½ inches across the porcelain body.
