Up for sale/sale is a highly collectible, authentic piece of early Scouting history: an official host-organization medal from the 2nd World Scout Jamboree, held in Ermelunden, Denmark, in August 1924.
This historic medal was issued by Det Danske Spejderkorps (The Danish Guide and Scout Association) and was strictly limited in production, typically reserved for international contingent leaders, host committee officials, and distinguished VIP guests of the camp.
Design & Markings:Obverse (Front): Features the classic Scouting Fleur-de-Lis emblem superimposed over a compass star. Inscribed with "International Jamboree 1924 Danmark" and the Danish scouting motto "Vær Beredt" (Be Prepared).
Reverse (Back): Stamped with the official host organization title: "DET DANSKE SPEJDERKORPS AUG 1924".
Hallmark: Clear, crisp "830 S" Scandinavian solid silver hallmark stamped near the top rim, guaranteeing its authentic silver content and 1920s Danish origin.
Ribbon: Suspended from its original, complete metal hanging loop and the traditional red-and-white striped fabric ribbon.
Condition Report:This 102-year-old medal is in excellent antique condition with gorgeous, untouched natural silver patina (tarnish) as pictured. The lettering and details remain very sharp. The ribbon shows expected light aging/toning consistent with a century of careful storage, but remains completely intact with no major rips or fraying. We have strictly avoided chemical cleaning or polishing to preserve its historic value and original character for collectors.
