Description
An exceptional and incredibly rare piece of authentic 1920s Art Deco French Chantilly lace fabric yardage, measuring an impressive 4 continuous yards. Uncut, long-form lace bolts from the flapper era are highly sought after and rarely survive in these continuous lengths.
This piece features a striking, period-accurate alternating horizontal panel layout. One band consists of delicate, vertically oriented floral sprigs set against a fine striated net, which transitions into a bold, structural geometric ribbon/guilloche wave motif. This specific design repeat (approx. 7–8" high) was intentionally engineered in the 1920s to be wrapped horizontally around the body to construct the iconic straight, drop-waist silhouettes of the era.
Provenance:
The lace retains its original, pinned antique merchant's tag from M. & T. (Paris / New York), a luxury textile importer that distributed elite European laces to high-end American dressmakers and department stores. The handwritten stock numbers and "Made in France" hallmark remain fully legible.

This textile is an authentic antique over 100 years old and is being sold strictly AS-IS there is a flaw along one edge a couple feet in. I have photographed the entire piece in segments shown in the photos. Please examine carefully.
