This is an exceptionally rare, museum-quality antique fraternal lodge banner dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian era (circa 1890–1920). It belonged to the premier founding branch, "Victoria Lodge No. 1," of the "B of B" (Brotherhood of Buffaloes)—a historically significant fraternal organization closely affiliated with the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (R.A.O.B.). Because these banners were custom-commissioned for individual local chapters rather than mass-produced, this is a highly unique, one-of-a-kind survivor of fraternal history.

The banner boasts strong crossover appeal for collectors of secret societies and authentic Scottish heritage. The center features a beautifully rendered, three-dimensional raised embroidery design of the traditional Scottish Thistle flanked by heavily detailed, textured leaf work. Arched just below the thistle is the iconic Latin national motto of Scotland, "NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT" ("No one provokes me with impunity").

Crafted from a rich, golden-yellow velvet fabric, the piece is finished along the bottom with its original deep red silk tassel fringe. It remains securely attached to its original wooden suspension dowel rod, complete with its original twisted hanging rope and side tassels.
