Offered is a pre-owned pair of rare (or at least uncommon) 950 Channellock, Inc. 9 inch straight jaw \"Vise Grip style\" locking pliers, made in Meadville, PA, USA. Seller hasn\'t seen others like these, and would think some user or collector would find this pair of interest.Pair is made in plain matte black steel finish, and features an outside lock release lever with blue vinyl sleeve. Pair shows two patent numbers: 3,545,315 and 3,606,806 from patents granted circa 1970-1971. This is a clean, heavy duty, solid and strong pair, at 1 pound 5 ounces, with blue vinyl release lever and a separate knurled locking/positioning nut on the adjustment screw--kind of an enhancement, wouldn\'t you say?! Jaws are not sloppy, teeth are in good or better shape and clean, tool is not engraved or personalized in any way. Note that there is discoloration to the blue vinyl sleeve of the release lever.
