This is super rare 1960s 100% Glass Fiber barkcloth Flower Power printed fabric. This is a stiff but soft fabric. This fabric has large yellow, orange and white flowers with terra-cotta colored background. It is 44 inches wide and 36 inches long and I have up to 11 yards. This would be amazing for any exterior projects you might have. This fabric was found in a lot and I was told it was used and or made for movie theatrics or linings for the stage.
The term barkcloth refers to the weave of the fabric which is thick, nubby and slightly textured. Barkcloth can be made with many different materials. Barkcloth fabric is often made of cotton, although it can be made of other fibers as well including linen, rayon, polyester, and fiberglass depending how old the fabric is.
