This 12-sided coaster/tray is from the Bellevue-Palace Hotel in Berne, Switzerland. It was made in 1954 by Suisse Langenthal, a very famous porcelain manufacturer in Switzerland. I have seen many ashtrays from this period, but this is the only coaster I have ever come across. It measures 3.5 inches wide and is in excellent vintage condition (see photos).
