An exceptionally rare, complete 80+ year-old devotional display set featuring a vintage New Testament pocket Bible handcrafted in the Holy Land during the 1940s. What makes this listing truly unique is the inclusion of its fragile, original glass dome cloche and plush red velvet display stand—pieces that are almost always broken or lost over the decades. The front and back covers are meticulously handcrafted with iridescent mother-of-pearl and colorful abalone shell tiles inlaid onto authentic olive wood. The front features an intricate geometric diamond marquetry design with a carved centerpiece, and a prominent white "Jerusalem" shell banner near the bottom. The clear glass display dome is fully intact and features a matching, carved mother-of-pearl finial knob on top. The interior pages are a high-quality King James Version (KJV) New Testament printed in England by Oxford University Press on ultra-thin, genuine Oxford India Paper. It was distributed by the historic British and Foreign Bible Society in London. Excellent vintage condition for its age. The fragile shell tiles on the binding are remarkably intact, the leather spine is sturdy, and the glass dome is completely free of chips or cracks.
