Antique real photo postcard (RPPC) with a black-and-white studio portrait of a young man. He sits against a dark draped backdrop in a soft felt fedora, a heavy wool overcoat with wide lapels, a white shirt and a patterned tie. His hands rest on his knee and he wears a ring on one finger. He looks straight at the camera with a slight, friendly smile. The photographer made him look natural and at ease, which is unusual for studio portraits of the period.
The photograph is mounted with a wide cream border. The back is a divided postcard back with "POST CARD" printed in outlined lettering and an ornate script monogram where the stamp box would be. It was never mailed and has no writing or postmark. The subject is unidentified, so it makes a nice character portrait for collectors of vintage photography, men's fashion history, hats and menswear, or anonymous "found" portraits.

Condition:Good vintage condition for its age. The image is clear and sharp with good contrast. There are a few small surface marks and light specks in the dark background, mostly in the upper right. The front border has overall toning, a small brown spot at the lower left corner, and a faint line near the left edge. Corners are slightly soft with light edge wear. The back has even age toning, light foxing and scattered spotting, plus a small pencil mark in the lower corner. No tears or missing pieces observed.
