RARE Vintage Chinese REVERSE HAND PAINTED FIGURAL CRYSTAL VASE w Cloisonne Metal

This is a TWO-PIECE VASE- the cloisonne enameled metal neck [top of vase] lifts off completely to allow the owner to clean or dust the inside of the crystal if needed. It rests very securely back on top of the crystal when placed on top of it. Base piece of cloisonne metal is permanently/securely attached to the crystal above.

Size 5 7/8" high, with a 1 15/16" opening at top.

Features a hand cut crystal center which is very thick and heavy and shaped in a hexagon [6 sided]. This UNUSUAL hand cut crystal is not only 6 sided but beveled and angled at both the top and bottom for even more flat panes to catch the light

Frosted crystal interior is completely HAND PAINTED with fantastic scenes of young boys practicing Martial Arts in various poses. There are 5 boys in total each very different. Surrounding them is beautiful natural landscape scenery, a large boulder, greenery, and a red fence

With all of the panels of crystal, the figures reflect and repeat as you move around the vase, almost as if they are in motion

The skill with which the Artist painted the inside of the crystal is impressive- very minute and thin lines with beautiful expressiveness and form. Meticulous detailing.

Each of the large flat crystal panels on the vase is 1 5/8" x 1.25". The smaller flat panels above and below are approx. 1 5/8" x 5/8"

Round opening of crystal portion of vase is 1.25" diameter

Metal cloisonne enamel top is 2 3/8" high and the metal cloisonne enamel base is 1.5" high

Enamel has a turquoise interior, which is generally an indicator of an older piece. Outer patterning is black with gorgeous florals in rich jewel toned colors and a bright blue half circle border at each end

Very good vintage condition- there is a flat flake off of the crystal on one corner edge, just above the group of 3 boys- see last pic. The flake is very smooth and not jagged or sharp, minor. Some tiny [miniscule] mite nicks around the opening of the crystal vase but these are difficult to notice and are covered completely and thereby not visible when the vase is assembled and the top is one. No flaws or damage of any kind to the interior painting. Pristine. No scratches, fading or wear.

No dents, cracks, or damage to metal cloisonne pieces.

Very collectible, a super unique and special piece.
