RARE Original Peter Helck 1949 Chevrolet Truck Advertising Illustration/Painting For Sale

The is a rare, original 1949/50 Chevrolet Truck illustration/ painting by the legendary illustration artist ClarencePeter Helck(1893-1988). My father was a ardent collector of original automotive advertising artwork and acquired this piece at the Hershey Flea market in the 1970's. Allegedly, the original illustration shown in the magazine advertisement was damaged and the artwork was reframed to what I am selling today. You can see Peter Helck's signature on the lower left corner of the advertisement. The dynamic composition and the attention to detail, classic hallmarks of Peter Helck's work, are executed at a higher level here than in many other examples of the artist's work. This vintage illustration features a multi-color depiction of Americana in the late 40's. The frame measures approximately 15" x 29" and the illustration measures 9"x23". As an original piece from 1949, collectors can appreciate the historical significance and artistic value of this unique advertising artwork. I will gladly answer any question you have.
