DESCRIPTION:There\'s only a single line in the viscous glaze, not a structural crack per se (since it doesn\'t appear on the back and doesn\'t traverse the entire bowl\'s girth) mars this otherwise nearly as originally constituted, late 16th to early 17th century Chinese Ming Dynasty Zhangzhou (Swatow) provincial 10\" in diameter, wide-mouthed, shallow basin, completely hand painted and hand decorated ceramic bowl, with graphic iconography, including images of repeating reticulated basketry, gestural, curvilinear, wispy, semi-transparent brushstrokes and interior basin Chinese calligraphic hieroglyphic writing. This now 360 to as early as 385 year old Chinese Ming Dynasty ceramic bowl, features unglazed interior stacking ring, located at the base of the inside basin, as well as an unglazed bottom baseplate and raised, round foot. Estate fresh. A wonderful, amazing discovery that was clearly cared for by its several custodians over the centuries. 360 to 385 years old. Not merely a bowl but a work of art. It still rings like a bell and frankly wouldn\'t make this sound if the glaze fissure was a true, structural hairline crack. It won\'t disappoint. Absolutely gorgeous. Very early. Rare.
