RARE Grant Monument Inaugural 4/27/1897 WHITEHEAD HOAG BADGES & US Air Force Pin
The Air Force pin is missing a link. It\'s marked sterling on back. Tiny bit of rust of back pin part but it\'s not bad. It does have some wear to it but I think with a little TLC and a polish it\'ll look good. The other item I believe is stamped Whitehead Hoag Pat Badges June 12 94.. I\'m guessing that is 1894. If at one time it was a pin it\'s missing the pin back. Back is metal. Looks like it has a bit of fabric threads sticking out, so maybe at some point it was attached to fabric. The obituary belongs with the larger pin. In the obituary it names John Slane Of Humble Texas. John has since passed away too but he was a Union Pacific train engineer for many decades. Lots of his Union Pacific train collection can be found in our other listings with some items going back to early 1900\'s. So I know the larger pin and obit clipping are related. It\'s neat to know who something belonged too. It\'s over 100 years old and besides it missing the pin back it has some light wear to the front. FREE SHIPPING!
