RARE GEM SILICA in limonite matrix from Arizona.I purchased this at The Tucson Show from a miner. The source was labeled Globe-Miami area, but no specific mine per se.
It also resembles mtorolite from Zimbabwe, but the source was specifically stated to be from ARIZONA.
This is a sweet rough specimen that trans-illuminates beautifully( Please see phots 8-11) and could clearly produce many beautiful cabochons.
