✨ Theater-Used Fantasia 2000 Banner – Tin Soldier & Ballerina Romance ✨

Step into the magical world of Fantasia 2000 with this rare, theater-used vinyl banner featuring the unforgettable romance of the Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Ballerina—one of Disney’s most visually poetic and emotionally resonant sequences.

This large-format banner captures the dreamlike storytelling and artistry that made Fantasia 2000 a modern classic. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s timeless tale, the Tin Soldier segment blends classical music, animation, and romance into a stunning visual experience—making this piece especially meaningful for serious Disney collectors.

💎 WHY COLLECTORS LOVE THIS PIECE:

  • Authentic theater display banner – not a retail poster
  • Features the iconic Tin Soldier & Ballerina scene in vivid color
  • Reverse side includes the official Fantasia 2000 logo
  • Massive 72” x 46” format – a true statement display piece
  • Romantic, artistic imagery—perfect for Disney or animation collections
  • Increasingly hard to find, especially in this size and format

📏 DETAILS & CONDITION

  • Size: Approx. 72” x 46”
  • Material: Durable vinyl
  • Includes: Wooden dowel rod with end screws for easy hanging
  • Condition:
    • Previously theater-used, with minor wear mostly on reverse side
    • A few small print marks (only visible up close)
    • Light creasing from storage (will relax when hung—see care tips below)

🛠️ VINYL CARE TIP

Vinyl banners naturally relax over time. To smooth creases:

  • Hang in sunlight to gently warm and flatten
  • Use a hair dryer on low (from a distance)
  • Avoid direct heat contact

Collectors appreciate knowing this—creases are temporary and expected with vintage theater banners.

🎨 ABOUT THE ART & TRADITION

The Tin Soldier segment in Fantasia 2000 is set to Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and represents Disney’s continued tradition of combining classical music with groundbreaking animation—first pioneered in the original Fantasia (1940).

Unlike standard posters, theater-issued vinyl banners were produced in limited quantities for promotional display and often discarded after use—making surviving examples like this increasingly desirable among collectors.

🏆 WHY THIS BELONGS IN YOUR COLLECTION

This isn’t just décor—it’s a piece of Disney cinematic history. Whether you're a serious Disneyana collector, animation enthusiast, or simply drawn to romantic, artistic imagery, this banner delivers:

  • Scale
  • Rarity
  • Emotional storytelling
  • Authentic theater provenance

Pieces like this don’t surface often—and when they do, they don’t last.

About Shipping: This is a huge poster with a heavy wooden rod, so it will be rolled up and sent in a very long mailing tube.
Theatrical posters and banners from famous movies are always a great way to give a dull room a dash of energy and color. They were usually hung in the lobbies of movie theaters and usually were thrown out after the movie left the venue. But some were kept and sold on the secondary market, and that's where I got this one. And this beautiful poster from the movie's original release is sure to be a hit in any den, family room, entertainment room, office, Man Cave, She Shed, or anywhere you need a splash of color and whimsy. And since this was an original Disney design for the movie's initial release, it will become even more valuable as it ages. And these will only get more valuable with age, as people begin to feel nostalgic about their youth and the movies they loved and cherished.🏰 THE HISTORY OF THE PIECE
My serious Disney collecting journey began in the early 1990s, after a trip to Walt Disney World where I discovered the newly introduced Walt Disney Classics Collection figurines. I purchased a few pieces on that trip — and I was hooked!
Over the next 20 years, I hunted down limited editions, retired pieces, and hard-to-find Disney treasures, often spending countless hours searching the Internet for pieces that were no longer available. Part of the fun was the thrill of finding something I had been searching for — especially those pieces that seemed to disappear from the market overnight.
This collection is the result of that passion. Each piece was acquired because I loved the artistry, craftsmanship, character and Disney story behind it — not simply as an investment or something to resell. Now, after many wonderful years of collecting, I've reached the downsizing chapter and it's time to find new homes for some of these treasured pieces.
I enjoyed them immensely — at least the ones that actually managed to escape their original boxes! 😊 Now it's time for other Disney fans and collectors to enjoy them. My hope is that these pieces continue their journey with collectors who will appreciate them, display them proudly, and create their own Disney memories around them.
After all, the best collectibles aren't meant to stay in boxes forever.
They're meant to be enjoyed. ❤️Here's a little about Fantasia 2000 I found on Wikipedia:
Fantasia 2000 is a 1999 American animated musical anthology film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Produced by Roy E. Disney and Donald W. Ernst, it is the sequel to Disney's 1940 animated feature film Fantasia. Like its predecessor, Fantasia 2000 consists of animated segments set to pieces of classical music. Segments are introduced by celebrities including Steve Martin, Itzhak Perlman, Quincy Jones, Bette Midler, James Earl Jones, Penn & Teller, James Levine, and Angela Lansbury in live action scenes directed by Don Hahn.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts to develop a Fantasia sequel, The Walt Disney Company revived the idea shortly after Michael Eisner became chief executive officer in 1984. Development paused until the commercial success of the 1991 home video release of Fantasia convinced Eisner that there was enough public interest and funds for a sequel, to which he assigned Disney as executive producer. The music for six of the film's eight segments is performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by James Levine. The film includes The Sorcerer's Apprentice from the 1940 original. Each new segment was produced by combining traditional animation with computer-generated imagery. Fantasia 2000 is also generally linked to the Disney Renaissance, as it commemorates Walt Disney's third animated feature film.
