RARE Cat\'s Meow Village Wild West Series #1893 WELLS, FARGO & COMPANY - Retired For Sale

Wild West Series | Catalog #1893

Here is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a hard-to-find, retired piece from The Cat’s Meow Village: the Wells, Fargo & Co. Overland Mail and Express Office. This piece, part of the coveted Wild West Series with Catalog #1893, was released in 1989 and was officially retired on December 31, 1994. It\'s a must-have for any collector of Cat\'s Meow pieces, Wells Fargo memorabilia, or Western-themed items.

The front of the piece captures the iconic look of a Wells Fargo office with its light wood-grain siding, large grid windows, and a distinctive green door. The text, in all-caps, clearly reads: \"WELLS, FARGO & CO. OVERLAND MAIL AND EXPRESS OFFICE\". As a genuine Cat’s Meow piece, it also includes the charming little black cat on the front step on the right.

The back of the piece is just as detailed. It features the stamped text: \"© 1989 THE CAT\'S MEOW, WILD WEST SERIES, WELLS, FARGO & COMPANY\". It also includes a unique handwritten signature and number: \"Faline \'93\", which adds a nice personal touch to this vintage collectible.

For context, here is the original description of this piece from the official Cat\'s Meow catalog (as seen in the provided images):

\"Wells, Fargo & Co. - In 1852 two Easterners, Henry Wells and William G. Fargo, started a shipping business to serve the express and banking needs of the fast growing mining industry. Wells, Fargo & Co. quickly expanded to over 126 branches handling not only gold and money, but also private mail and other valuables. I have chosen to design the Wells, Fargo & Co. building from a Virginia City, Montana, photograph.\"

This item is pre-owned and in very good vintage condition. As a wooden piece that is nearly 30 years old, it may show minor signs of shelf wear or light paint loss consistent with age, but there are no major chips, cracks, or fading. Please review all high-resolution photos for the most accurate assessment of its cosmetic state. The photos represent the exact item you will receive.
