RARE BANK OF NEW YORK EARLY LOGO VINTAGE RED MENS NECK TIE BY HAMPTON HALL LTD For Sale

Rare men's vintage neck tie featuring an early version of the Bank of New York logo. Features embroidered gold cursive "B of NY"s all over, on a dark red silk fabric with a repp weave. Manufacturer is Hampton Hall Ltd of New York, known for manufacturing high-end silk ties for corporations and institutions in the mid-20th century. Tie measures 57" long and 3 1/2" wide at the widest point. It is in "fair" condition with some loose seams that made it difficult to iron, and some tears in the silk at the skinny end, although those would be hidden when tucking that end inside the tie. The front-facing area is in very good condition if you are able to flatten the seams. But I suspect anyone viewing this is looking at it as a piece of banking memorabilia, rather than as an addition to your everyday wardrobe. Great nostalgic piece for anyone with a connection to this storied institution!
