Inscribed with a "W" and the lion symbol as well as "STERLING 7071 PAT. APPLIED FOR
These markings make it date to 1902 according to my research. It is a sweet and rare piece.Length: 8.25"

The mirror glass is in very good condition.
I think the Monogram has "C" "R" "J" or "S" I'm not good at monograms. It is etched in a beautiful script.
The design and all on the top are perfect - the only dents are seen in the edges.
Some of the weighting has become loose between the sterling and the glass and so you can hear a sandy soundwhen moving the mirror up and down.
The Whiting Mfg. Co was bought out by Gorham Silver.
