Rather than a linear 1-to-12 sequence, the craftsman mistakenly placed a duplicate "5" cartouche where the "3" should be, creating a face sequence that reads: 1, 2, 5, 4, 5, 6... Enamel errors of this nature are incredibly scarce, as pieces that bypassed quality inspectors rarely survived to the present day intact.Design & BuildGilt Case Construction: A solid, heavy gilt-bronze/brass structure adorned with Neoclassical motifs.
