The product is a rare antique black glass kerosene hurricane lamp with a marble base, converted for use with modern light bulbs.
We cannot find any other black glass lamp like this on the internet.
These Victorian-style lamps are made of brass, glass, and marble, and are of original vintage manufacture we estimate from circa 1880–1895.
We shined a light thru the black glass and it looks like a dark brown, but not amber. Please see pictures.
