Title: Ultra-Rare Vintage 1930s/1940s Jolly Time Pop Corn Canister – Factory Sealed "New Old Stock" (NOS)
Description:
Up for sale or purchase is an absolute holy grail piece of vintage American grocery advertising. This is a genuine 10 oz Jolly Time "White Hulless" Pop Corn container dating from the late 1930s to the 1940s.
THIS ITEM IS COMPLETELY UNOPENED, FACTORY SEALED, AND FULL!
Finding an empty tin from this era is a great find, but finding an untouched, full survivor is incredibly rare. The container weighs exactly 1/2 a pound (8 ounces) on a vintage mechanical scale. When gently handled, you can physically feel the heavy weight and hear the original, 80+ year-old unpopped kernels shifting and rattling inside the sealed container.
Fascinating Historical Details:
• Embossed Stamped Bottom: Features the early manufacturing method of stamping the text directly into the heavy-gauge raw metal base: "MADE IN U.S.A. BY AMERICAN POP CORN CO. SIOUX CITY, IOWA" alongside the patent stamp. Factories phased this out by the 1950s.
• Era Cooking Habits: The reverse yellow label features historic cooking instructions instructing the user to pop the corn using "a little lard or cooking oil".
• Early Branding: Features the famous, vintage "Three Children" trademark logo at the top of the label which was later retired.
Condition Notes:
This item is in 100% original, untouched antique condition. It has intentionally NOT been cleaned, scrubbed, or restored to preserve its historical integrity. It features an authentic, beautiful age-related metal patina, minor surface oxidation along the rims, and light shelf wear. The red, blue, and yellow graphics remain exceptionally bright and vivid. The composite cardboard walls are strong with no crushing or major denting.
⚠️ ATTENTION COLLECTORS / POLICY DISCLAIMER:
This item is a sealed vintage artifact over 80 years old. It is being sold strictly as a decorative, historical collectible. The contents inside are expired and are absolutely NOT intended for human consumption.
Shipping & Packaging:
Because this container is heavy and filled with loose kernels, it will be packaged with extreme care. It will be wrapped in multiple layers of heavy-duty bubble wrap and packed securely upright in a strong box so that no shifting or damage occurs during transit. Fast shipping with tracking provided!
