From a recent Kansas Estate, & offered for sale is this Super Nice & Very Rare, large Antique LOWENBRAU Oak Beer Barrel originating from Germany around the turn of the century~! This measures 18" high by 13" across the top & bottom & a little wider in the middle~!
On the underside is the name Buttenheim, a town in Germany I believe~! Perhaps that's where this Barrel came from (please see photos)~?
It's fairly Stout though it has several small finishing nails pounded in the wood to hold the Iron Rings up here & there~!
This Barrel weighs 40 lbs & is in overall very Good shape for being well over a hundred years old~!
