This is a vintage large ceramic decorative basket with a unique \"butt\" shape formed into a weaving pattern. The basket features a glazed finish and has a 2 1/2 inch Hen on one side and 2 1/2 Rooster on the other side. It has a ceramic handle that is also done in the weaving pattern to match the basket. The basket is large and measures 13 inches in length and 12 inches in height. The basket is made of ceramic and should be handwashed. It is an original piece and unbranded. It can be used to store fresh bread, or eggs or just just chips or snacks if you choose. I personally never put anything in it, only displayed.

I bought this lovely piece many, many years ago and have kept in a lighted display with my cookie jars. I have never used it so it is in like new condition but of course I do not have the box after all these years. It has no flaws at all...no knicks, no cracks, no crazing and no chips. I absolutely love it and the only reason for selling it due to our downsizing, I just will not have the room for it so I\'m hoping to find it a new home.
