Incredibly rare antique 1919 "Lily of the Valley" chalkware/plaster carnival doll!
Depicts a flapper-era beauty emerging from a green lily of the valley flower bud.
She still has the original United States Tent & Awning Co. (premier supplier of big top tents, midway banners and game prizes to traveling circuses in the early 20th century) Chicago ILL. paper label on the bottom with a patent date of July 15, 1919.
Stands approximately 11" tall
Beautiful hand-painted details with original mohair style hair in good condition and intact.
Remains in solid condition for being over 100 years old with a few small nicks and paint flakes in places, but is free of any cracks, fractures or repairs. Worth noting, there is a plaster remnant floating around inside the figure that likely just came loose over the years.
A great survivor art piece for carnival enthusiasts, early chalkware or doll collectors. This is one of those “try to find another ” items. You may never see one again.
