From a private collection:
THE PUNISHER LIMITED SERIES #1–5 – COMPLETE SET – ALL NEWSSTAND EDITIONS (Marvel, 1986)
This is the complete first Punisher solo series, the classic “Circle of Blood” story by Steven Grant and Mike Zeck. Covers are painted by Mike Zeck and Phil Zimelman. All five issues are U.S. newsstand editions with UPC barcodes.
Included:
• #1 – Double-size first issue ($1.25 newsstand). Jigsaw appears. Sharp corners, strong gloss, well centered, lies flat.
• #2 – Kingpin appears. Bright and clean. Slight factory cover miswrap: a thin strip of the yellow back cover shows on the front left edge.
• #3 – Classic target cover. Clean white cover.
• #4 – Marvel 25th Anniversary corner box. Clean and glossy.
• #5 – Series finale, Marvel 25th Anniversary corner box. Bright red cover, sharp corners.
Collector note: #1, #3 and #4 say “Four-Issue Limited Series” on the cover. #2 and #5 say “Five-Issue.” This was Marvel’s original printing error and appears on every copy.
Condition: My estimate is VF/NM overall (about 8.5–9.2). Pages are cream to off-white. The colored bars at the top of some interior pages are printer’s trim marks, not stains. These are raw books graded by eye, not CGC or CBCS certified. Please look closely at all photos, because they are part of the description.
All comics have been stored in plastic sleeves with acid free cardboard backings.
Shipping: Each book is bagged and boarded and shipped flat between rigid cardboard in a genesis style comic mailer. I ship within 1 business day of payment.
