I am known for the antique shows and textile shows throughout the country and especially Miami Beach. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy.

This offering is for ONE barkcloth pillow cover. It’s as if you were transported back in time to a sea cottage cabin in Waikiki with hammocks and hula girls doling out floral leis to beach goers...its 1940’s island spirit and its all about Hawaiiana decor. So much so it transported itself to Miami Beach where it became synonymous with island tropical prints inspired by the Hawaiian Islands. This glammy tropical boasts a plumeria and banana leaf design...a true design signature of Hawaii in a rare turquoise ground with magenta pink...blush pink...merlot eggplant purple...dark teal...taupe mocha chocolate grays...black and white accents with a swank innovative gold metallic...which was usually used much later in the 50’s in the atomic craze...but this fabric designer was a pioneer printing this gold metallic. Paired swanky with a luxe cotton candy pink velvet and a double piping in pink rose and turquoise. It measures 22 \" x 22\" in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form, which is not included. if you would like one, please contact me. These prints are pure divinity...they are in no way comparable to today...different forms were used like non gmo cottons that printed better and lasted longer...todays cottons are disposable...so quality hand in hand with a design genius...a spectacular view of Hawaii right in your own home.
