Vintage official Italian commemorative postcard dedicated to the legendary Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Grand Raid, which celebrates the historic consecutive victories of the French brand in the famous African rally raid. Victory of 1987: Conquered by Finnish driver Ari Vatanen together with co-pilot Bernard Giroux. Victory of 1988: Obtained by the other Finnish champion Juha Kankkunen together with Juha Piironen, who took over the success after the daring theft of Vatanen’s newborn Peugeot 405 T16 during the race. The model depicted, with the famous sponsors of the time such as Pioneer and Michelin, is the specially modified Grand Raid version with a reinforced frame, elongated wheelbase and large tanks to face the Dunes.
