Rare Peter Pots MCM pottery ashtray with Giraffe decoration. This was produced in the late 1950's until the early 60's. This is apparently an earlier production piece as it was made with recesses to add felt foot pads if desired to protect table tops from scuffs, etc. Amazing shiny glossy, perfect surface so likely never used based on condition. Underside marked Peter Pots with only trace wear. A few speckles of fired on pottery surface flakes from the kiln or another piece fired before this one perhaps. Made this way. Only for total accuracy and a real non issue. Rare piece in top grade collector condition. Rare to find piece and even more rarely offered for sale. It would be hard to find a nicer one in my opinion.
