Wooden cigar box from Penn State Cigar Corp, Philadelphia, PA, branded 'P.S. Perfectos.' The original retail price was 5 cents each. Interior label reads: 'Compare these with your favorite 10c cigar and remember that these are of imported Sumatra Wrapper and 100% Long Filler of Havana and other fine tobaccos.' Bottom stamped 'Factory No. 60, 1 District, State of PA' with the standard federal tax-paid notice. Brass hinges intact. Box joints are finger/box-cut construction, typical of early 20th century cigar boxes. Wood has darkened with age and shows grime buildup on the interior floor. Exterior print graphics are clear and legible on all four sides. Small chip on one corner of the lid, upper left. The 5-cent price label on the lid has minor edge lifting. No cracks or breaks to the wood.
