Set of six Paragon fine bone china bread and butter plates in the Athena pattern, manufactured in England 1987-1990 and now discontinued. The Athena border combines a broad gold ground band with scrolling foliate lacework, a white embossed gadroon inner ring, and a densely repeated oval-and-dot outer chain. Backstamped "By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen / China Potters / Paragon / Fine Bone China / Made in England / Reg'd / Athena." Diameter approximately 6.25 inches.
Condition
Very good across all six pieces. No chips, cracks, or scratches; no stacking wear on the gilding or glaze surfaces. A small number of minor manufacturing-era specks are present on individual plates, documented in the listing photos. High-gloss glaze bright and even throughout. Light wear on unglazed footer rings consistent with display or light use.
