These compact, cone-shaped pieces were popular aftermarket accessories in pre-war coupes and roadsters, typically used as dash matchstick holders or miniature flower bud vases. Because they are smaller than standard limousine vases, they were designed to sit neatly in a dashboard bracket ring.
