Large is 3.5" wide x 5.2" tall Small is 3" wide x 4.4" tallLion motifs. The top lids have a hole.These were made in Germany based on research. From 1880's, used for holding string. Minor imperfections. Both have been polished.The bottom has a hexagon mark with AFC written in it.
