Pair Vintage Japanese Miniature Vases Cherry Blossom Red Ground Gilt Handles For Sale

Charming pair of miniature Japanese porcelain vases, each of two-handled amphora form with a pinched, fluted rim, hand-painted with pink and white cherry blossoms over a rust-red ground, the handles finished in gilt. The base of each is stamped with a blossom mark over "MADE IN JAPAN" — post-1921 export ware, likely 1920s–1950s, Kutani-style decoration. Sweet as bud vases, on a vanity, or in a miniature collection.

From the estate of a lifelong collector of Asian art.
